Danielle Legros Georges is a writer and educator. The current Poet Laureate of Boston, she is the author of two books of poems, Maroon and The Dear Remote Nearness Her poems and essays have appeared in national and international publications and literary journals including The Boston Globe, La Macchina Sognante, Black Renaissance Noire, Transition, Encarta Africana and in a number of anthologies. She teaches at Lesley University.
