Sara Colombo
Sara Colombo is a Research Associate and Senior Project Lead at the MIT Design Lab. She leads projects on wearable technologies, connected objects, and user experience.
She earned her Ph.D. in Design at Politecnico di Milano, where she was Adjunct Professor in Interaction Design and Design & Engineering before joining the MIT Design Lab.
During her doctoral studies, she explored tangible and sensory forms of communication performed by dynamic products. She has published journal articles, papers and a book on this topic and chaired international conferences in the field of interaction design.
She is particularly interested in the connection between humans and technology, especially in the impact that emerging technologies can have on users' experience and behaviors, when embedded into everyday objects.
